Liam Guthrie-Lyons
B.Sc., M. Clin Psychol.
Liam is a Clinical Psychologist who completed degrees in psychology at the University of Sydney (Bachelor of Science) and Macquarie University (Master of Clinical Psychology). He has experience working in private practice, hospital and university clinics, including the delivery of a structured anxiety-management program for children (“Cool Kids Anxiety Program”). Liam has also previously worked in the field of occupational rehabilitation. His treatment approach draws from evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Liam has experience treating a variety of different presentations including depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, adjustment to injury and trauma. He treats anxiety conditions with Virtual Reality technology. Liam has a passion for providing caring, empathetic and collaborative treatment to his clients.
Liam works with children, adolescents and adults and is available for face-to-face and telehealth appointments on Monday to Friday at the Chatswood office.
