Amy Datyner

B.Sc.(Adv)(Hons)/B.A.; M.Psych.(Clin); PhD

Amy is a Clinical Psychologist and has been practicing for over 10 years. She completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in social and emotional development in early childhood at the University of New South Wales. Amy has worked in a variety of treatment settings including a specialist university clinic for children, and private practice for several years.

Amy’s main clinical interests are in complex anxiety (including Selective Mutism) in the context of other diagnoses such as ADHD, Autism, learning difficulties and behavioural concerns. She also sees children with sleep and toileting concerns. Amy strives to provide a therapy environment when children, adolescents and parents/caregivers feel comfortable to talk about their concerns, and then supported and empowered to work towards their goals.

Amy uses evidence-based treatment models (such as cognitive behavioural therapy) and uses both family oriented and individual approaches (where indicated).  Amy is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).

Amy sees clients in our Westmead office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
